    Agreed.

I admit, I fell for it a little bit with Brooks considering he's a VA guy who never left the western part of the state to play/coach.

But if Fuente were successful, he would have bounced. Buzz was a surprise that he stayed 5 years honestly (and in today's climate he would have just packed his team for College Station with NIL out the wazoo a year earlier). If Pry is successful and PSU/OSU/Florida come calling, he's likely gone. Similar holds true for almost anyone else save maybe Young.

VT is a good job in most sports and a good athletic program. But it's still generally a stepping stone (especially in the climate right now) in those sports.

As for Brooks, I think the current climate had a lot to do with it. UK has a seat at the table. There are no assurances to where VT will be and who will be with us in 10 years... even 5 years. KB's stock may never have been higher. And it sounds like he may have wanted out earlier than we even realized.

KB owes us everything. This may be an unpopular opinion but all coaches and players owe fans everything because without us they are literally just playing a game. The moment they stop entertaining fans is the moment they produce absolutely nothing of value to society. No product, no service, it’s just entertainment to fans.

Didn't we average like 12 fans per game in WBB before Brooks? He definitely produced something...people just fell in love with a guy that ultimately felt nothing for them in return. It happens.

The guy left his alma mater high and dry for us. Fans frankly should have realized then that we weren't getting a guy who would stick around out of sentiment or care about writing little thank you letters to fans.

Just not buying the whole thing. Here’s where I stand in terms of things that could/would be stressful for someone battling cancer. At the top of the list would be things like your husband uprooting your family and moving to another state, husband taking a new higher stress job when he could function pretty comfortably previously, Changing drs, care teams, etc who you’ve built a familiar relationship with through months of treatment, husband taking on the responsibility of rebuilding a program taking time away from home. Things like that. I doubt the 5 minutes it would take to show an ounce of gratitude towards the program that made you rich and famous would bother his wife the least bit. Have no idea why her medical situation is even pertinent to any of the issues Hokie nation has with KB. It’s perfectly ok to pray for her and their family and wish her a quick recovery and call Kenny out for his shady exit at the same time.

To be fair, a pampered college kid maybe didn’t get all that (I agree her argument was flawed)

I don't understand KB not leaving a statement to VT and the fans. We can say he owes VT nothing, but it's standard procedure all across the sports world. The fans packed Cassell in support of him and the team.

Also if anyone could find out the game plan for the ND debacle, that would be nice. I wasn't expecting a 30 point or whatever it was shellacking.

My prayers are with the family though, and hoping for a recovery.

His job requirements would be no different whether there are fans in the stands or not. WBB would continue to lose money whether there are fans or not, and his salary would still be offset by FB and MBB whether there are fans or not.
